A glamorous evening of queer theatrical entertainment, hosted by HAUSVRAU and The Sweet Transvestite! Music, vocal performances and dance fill the brilliant ambience, the Queer Cabaret Bernoise takes you on a journey on which you seem to forget a world outside this entertaining utopia. The hosts: HAUSVRAU & The Sweet Transvestite
In 2021, the two founded the Trans Safety Emergency Fund, an institution that focuses on providing financial support to trans people around the world. They are also connected through the ‘House of Laveaux Switzerland’, the Swiss offshoot of the ballroom ‘Maison Laveaux’, whose father is The Sweet Transvestite and whose godmother is HAUSVRAU. They are both trans activists and artists and have already organised events such as a gala together.

The invitee: Edwin Ramirez
In addition to HAUSVRAU and The Sweet Transvestite, Edwin Ramirez will also be performing at the second edition of Queer Cabaret. Edwin Ramirez is a performance artist and stand up comic based in Zurich. With their stand up routines they have performed on all big comedy stages in the German speaking part of Switzerland, including appearances on Swiss national television. In 2020 Edwin co-founded Criptonite alongside Nina Mühlemann. Criptonite is a queer-crip theatre project that uses the aesthetics of drag, pop-culture to create shows engaging with the topics of access, interdependence and bodily autonomy. They will be touring their new Solo Comedy Show «Run Daddy Run» all over Switzerland. Edwins work focuses on empowerment, creating new worlds and a sense of togetherness, inspired by queer-feminist science fiction and fantasy with a focus on social justice.
