Slipping away. Alienation. Being far or away. Drift is drifting away into another possible universe, a brief visitation of the beyond, the other, the non-evident. Is it necessary to drift? Existentialist: Yes. Stoic: No. So, the drift can either serve as self-protection against confronting one’s own voidness or be integrated into an accepted everyday life. We want both. The Drift is a space in the festival centre that shows a tangible and low-threshold installation from Monday to Wednesday that is not just about visual perception.
